Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Your journey begins with a brief morning orientation, setting the stage for your adventure. From there, you’ll venture to Lake Manyara National Park, a charming reserve nestled alongside the towering Rift Valley Escarpment. The park takes its name from the captivating Lake Manyara, a shallow, alkaline lake that often shimmers with a pink hue, thanks to the seasonal arrival of flamingos. Home to over 400 bird species, it’s a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with the chance to spot up to 100 different species on any given day. As you explore the park, keep an eye out for various wildlife, including monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands, and elephants roaming near acacia trees. If luck is on your side, you may even catch a glimpse of the elusive tree-climbing lions, a unique behavior among these special cats. After a day of discovery, you’ll depart Lake Manyara National Park and head to lodge, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Lake Manyara Area to Serengeti National Park
Following a delicious breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive towards the fertile crater highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, corn, and coffee. Along the way, you’ll pass by the Ngorongoro Crater before reaching the vast plains of Serengeti National Park around midday. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest park, boasts a rich tapestry of habitats and landscapes, including short grass plains, sweeping savannahs, dense bush, tranquil swamps, towering mountains, and sparkling lakes. The iconic Serengeti is famed for its captivating wildlife, with peculiar rock formations called Kopjes dotting the grassy landscape—a favored haunt for predators. Depending on the season, you may witness the awe-inspiring migration of thousands of animals, a phenomenon that defines the park. During the short rainy season from November to December, herds move from the north to the south, while the longer rainy season from April to June sees them return northward. The migration’s timing hinges on annual rainfall patterns, but your seasoned guide will know precisely where to locate these incredible creatures. Spend the night at Lodge (Kati Kati Tented Camp) in the heart of the Serengeti.

In the morning, you’ll walk steadily and have lunch at Second Cave. After that, you’ll walk on open moorland to a valley near Kikelewa Caves, where you’ll see giant tree-groundsels.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Awaken early to embrace the serene dawn and embark on a captivating morning game drive. The Seronera region of Serengeti is renowned for the close proximity of wildebeests and zebras to formidable predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After an exhilarating game drive, return to camp for a hearty breakfast before venturing out for another thrilling game drive within the park. Following a delightful picnic lunch, your journey continues toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon reaching the crater’s rim, you’ll be treated to an awe-inspiring panoramic view of this colossal, 600-meter-deep collapsed volcano. Your overnight stay awaits at your lodge
